HOMTOM HT37 Pro - Android 7.0 - Mobile Data issue

    Hi there,

Hoping someone might have some insight into this. Bought a HOMTOM HT37 Pro (Android 7.0) and have begun using it with an existing Three mobile SIM card.

The problem is with mobile data - the only way (local/home) mobile data seems to actually be enabled is by enabling data roaming on the device settings (mobile networks). This doesn't seem right, but I've tested it and mobile data is definitely only on properly when data roaming has been enabled.

Has anyone encountered anything like this before or perhaps have any suggestions as to how to address this?

    Thanks in advance!

I had this issue before with the Oneplus One when I first got it. It was resolved by a firmware update as I recall. This used to be a common issue with Chinaphones & mvno's where it didn't recognise them as a home network.

I'm not sure why it would happen on the three network itself? In any case if data is working normally I'd just try to live with it. It's simply an indication of poorly written firmware.

As above, I have data roaming on my phone and never have any issues. Its not going to cost you by turning it on.
