    Hi All,

    Very stupid question but I want to get this right before I purchase anything as it's confusing me a little. I have 2 lenses, 1 with a 67mm filter thread and the other with a 72mm filter thread. I have bought a Haida ND filter 72mm. I assume I need a 72mm->67mm step down filter for the filter to work on the 67mm lens and not a step up filter? Thanks.

    You need a 67mm to 72mm step up.

    The first number quoted is (should!) always be the Lens filter thread size, the second is the thread size of the accessory (usually a filter).
