    Small print:

Terms & conditions apply; Finance Example based on an Audi A6 SAL 2.0TDI 150 ST v7. RRP €50,822.50. Deposit contribution paid by Audi North Dublin/ Audi Limerick €5,082.18. First monthly payment of €894.63 followed by 35 monthly payments of €819.63. Optional Final Payment €20,071.00. 3.9% APR. Total hire purchase price €54,734.86.

Maybe I'm wrong but a GMFV of 20k after 3 years seems a little on the high side given the steep depreciation of a soon to be obsolete model and the influx of similar but cheaper cars from the UK?

I wouldn’t have thought so. Maybe only a tad. Surely a 3 year old A6 would have a nice bit of equity over and above 20k.

Nice deposit contribution but you’d want to be putting a nice bit with it - €800+ a month is a lot more than most are willing to front up every month!

You'd hope so but yeah those monthly payments are nuts, mortgage figures really.

This offer is really only for people who are in a very well paying job.
Or are single living with parents and have nothing else to spend their money on.

    Obviously.

The way they are advertising it is anyone can afford one because it's 0 deposit with a tiny t&c below it. Hoping to rope as many dopes in as possible who would obviously not be able to afford it.

It’s a high monthly there’s no doubt but add a few grand to the deposit yourself and it’ll come down. Underpowered, old model, whole lot but for some it’ll make them go for it. These cars are expensive, stick down 9-10,000 on a new 5 series and the monthly cost is still what some would call very high.

Good promotion for a FIAT, not sure it would appeal much to Audi buyers. A desperate attempt by Audi to shift as many as possible before the new model arrives.

New A6 not due for launch until Paris Motor Show in October, so won't be on sale here until early 2019 at the earliest.

PCP and hire purchase is always advertised to make people believe they can afford more than they actually can, that's nothing new.

The "contribution" is just added onto the interest rate, it's 3.9% which is more than they charge for used Audi's
