Mortgage provider for timber frame/timber clad house?

We have just been turned down by PTSB for a mortgage to build a timber frame, timber clad house with a flat roof. The reason for their decision was that they will not lend for this type of structure and they specifically rejected the flat roof and timber cladding. We have full planning permission for this house and costings/certs etc all signed off by a registered engineer. We are only looking to borrow 50% of the cost to build also.

Can anyone recommend another lender that might look upon our application more favourably? Thanks.

I've seen the cost template for AIB and it includes provision for timber frame in the early stages of the build. I've heard one or two banks being fussy so ring around and talk to the various mortgage advisors and follow up to get it in writing.....
