Samsung galaxy s6 battery

Does anyone know where I would get my hands on a genuine battery for my s6. Mine just won't hold the charge anymore. I've been looking online and they all seem to be generic replica batteries and they range in price from €8.00 to €40.00 and all have mixed reviews on amazon so its hard to figure out which is a decent battery and which is a piece of crap. I can fit it myself I just need the battery though but I would rather get the original battery.

I emailed samsung but they don't sell them. I need to send the phone back to them and they will replace it. It takes 7+ working days. They also won't give me an estimate or a price I need to send them the phone and the engineer will ring me and give me a quote for the work.

Does anyone know what samsung charge for a battery swap? Or recommend someone in Dublin that will fit a decent battery at a somewhat reasonable price?

    Thanks

I'm having the exact same issue Shane.
Would also be interested in hearing if anyone has some advise on this.

I think the only way you will get a genuine battery is to bite the bullet and send it to samsung. But you will lose the phone for 7-10 days and you have no idea what they will quote you.
The only other option you could try is carphone warehouse they might do it for you there with a genuine battery but I only thought about them after I sorted mine.
I ended up getting it done at a normal repair shop. The charge is ok but its not nearly as efficient as a genuine part.

Carphone guy here. No unfortunately we don't sell them. Only power banks and chargers.

Personally I buy my phone replacement batteries from eBay. Making sure it' from a at least good reputation seller, UK & Ireland only, brand new condition and doesn't trigger any of my "dodgy" bells. As you said, charge not same as original. But still better than nothing, also cheaper.
