Solicitor Won't reply

    I am in need of some advice.
    We signed paperwork to buy our house from the council. Was told the undertaking and cheque requisition would be done in two weeks. That was 29th May last year. Our solicitor is now completely ignoring all e-mails, phone calls and a letter sent by courier. He won't even return calls from the council.
    Husband went into his office and was told he was in court all day. We can't keep taking time off work to sit and wait in his office. I paid him on 29th May as it was supposed to be done within two weeks. Afraid now he will charge extra for the 8 months later.
    Can I change solicitor at this late stage? I'm so afraid of losing the house.

    Yes, see another solicitor.

    That's all the advice that should be given in relation to this, so I am closing the thread.

    Get a recommendation for somebody good.
