Help with garden

Recently bought a house but the garden wasnt tended to at all last year (and dunno how well before that) It's north facing. The very bottom foot of the garden is the only bit that's seen sunlight in last few months. Money is tight so just looking for best advice to get it tidied up and grass growing well this year before…
