Does anyone have any work done for it yet? I have heard only a few thousand people applied for the wider scheme and much less for higher scheme. I will be putting up fences and hedges mostly for which the grant essentially cover 100% of the cost (buying materials and paying labour). What type of hedge would be recommended and which type of tree would suit to be planted every 8m?

I have applied for it in both schemes but no approval so far

Got accepted, but decided not to go ahead as the man that builds my stone ditches was booked up for the next year and no one else about locally that could do them, plus the timeframe to do the work was too tight.
To learn about hedges get a copy of the old field boundary management booklet.
