New window/ door handles scratched

Hi all
We're building a house, Windows and patio doors in. We chose satin chrome handles, lovely finish as we thought but on inspecting them alot of the window handles are scratched mostly in the same area - up where the little button is, we pointed this out and were told take pictures and email them. We paid alot of money for the windows.

Now alarmingly I noticed yesterday that the handle on the patio door is all scratched, this just happened in past few days. The patio door handle is on the part that you hold whereas the window scratches are not,it looks like they were scratched while being coated as all in same place. Now we're not ready to move in for another few months but what are they going to be like in 6 months if they're like this with very little use!
Has anyone had this problem? Had we known they would scratch so easily would never have went for them. Is it just a bad batch that we got? Cant imagine when my friends with wedding rings etc call by the state they'll be in! Thankfully we have held back money but just looking for a bit of advice. Thanks

There isn’t protective plastic on the patio handle by any chance?

No there was no protective plastic on patio doors, some of the window handles had some hadn't but even had there been once taken off they'd still get scratched

Genuine question.

Yes it's VERY noticeable, as they say a blind person could see it. Just so disappointed cause surely they should be more durable than that
