So I am slowly putting together the parts for a new build

But the windows key has me a bit confused, there is plenty of people on adverts selling Windows 10 64bit keys for 10 euro

Is this a legit way to get a key?

    Scan.co.uk - £181.99
    Amazon.co.uk - £189.99

    Adverts.ie - €10.00

    Thanks,

    Of course they're not legit.

What those people are "selling" are OEM or volume-licensed keys - keys which are, as far as Microsoft is concerned, NOT FOR RESALE.

You can make a bootable flash drive with Windows on it and buy a key from resellers on the likes of Amazon or ebay.

You don't need a windows 10 key at all. You just get a little "please activate windows" in the bottom right corner.

This. I just use the legit version from Microsoft. You don't even notice the tiny watermark, cost is €0 and all updates etc work perfectly.

buy a windows 7 or windows 8 key on ebay for around 12 bucks.(has to be pro if you want windows 10 pro)
On another pc download the windows 10 creation tool and download windows 10 pro onto it and do a clean install on the pc you need to.
When it asks for the key use the key you just bought.
While Microsoft has stopped offering the upgraded within windows 7/8 it hasn't stopping signing off the keys to be used in an upgrade.
Have done it for 3-4 pc at this stage.
