    Hi guys,
Any help would be much appreciated.
I did a 4 year degree in biomedical science & 1 year masters in biotechnology.
I've always wanted to teach and I'm applying to do the PME.
I am qualified to teach biology, however application says I need 10 ECTS in physics and 10 ECTS in chemistry to teach junior cert science.
My question is would biochemistry count for chemistry and would any maths modules count for physics? I didn't study either by themselves per say but think that having these might count. The link on the pac website doesn't work so I'm a little lost!

Hi there. I dont have the answer but am in a similar boat as you... I never took physics at any point...have a BSc in environmental biology and took maths, chemistry, biology and maths in 1st year.... went on to do a PhD and worked for over a decade in my area.... if I get any answer to this, I will post here.... I see the PAC application deadline has changed to a later date too...

I think as it stands we're only able to put down for biology. Bit of a shame really as I would have loved to be able to do JC science too.
