    Hi,

Has anyone else noticed how common buzzards are becoming beside M50 northbound!

This evening I spotted 4 seperate buzzards all perched along the various junctions heading to airport. Now If I am lucky enough to be driving at dawn or dusk on a clear day might see one but never 4!

It's mad how well they adapt to busy commuter traffic.

Would they be hoping to catch one last feed before nightfall?

Yes I have seen them there. But usually say in a group or own there is. These 4 buzzards were all at different junctions. It was great to see how common they are becoming. Magnificent birds especially in flight.

Lots on the south side too. Have seen loads around Carrikmines and to the South.

I have never seen an estimate of the number of buzzards in Ireland at this stage- has anyone seen an estimated figure?

I'll check the latest bird atlas when I get home. The previous bird atlas noted 300 breeding pairs but it should have gone up a lot since then.
