I drive a 10 Audi Estate 280 tax. I am considering changing for a 14 or similar Kia Sportage. The prices I'm being quoted make me think that I am getting nothing for my car. Would I be better buying direct from UK and selling my own privately. They are quoting 6 for mine but I could almost have one from the UK for the change cost.:(

Mileage and spec of your car?

Mileage and spec of the Kia?

Without the above its impossible to say.

Your car is obviously worth more than €6k so wherever you buy try and sell your own privately.

Without knowing the mileage on yours it’s hard to say what it’s worth but I would’ve thought it’d be closer to €10k. See what you can get a similar Audi for in the U.K. and pull the value back a bit.

Your real figure here is cost to change. If you sold your own even for €6k and imported from the U.K. and saved another few grand then it’s a no brainier.

The Audi Estate diesel has almost 180 and that is miles. I was hoping to get a low mile around 40,000 miles Kia.

Your getting it's trade value as the dealer is not going to retail it. You might get more selling privately.

What model? Spec etc would make it easier.

If its an A4 then there is one on donedeal for 7499 with same mileage.
