Carwings, NissanConnect, You+Nissan...

    What the actual feck?

    I've been using my app for years, good old "NissanConnect EV".

    Yesterday I uninstalled and reinstalled because apparently that's the only way to get the updates applied and now I can't get in!

    To make it worse the only way I can log in on a PC is via the old Carwings link on the Nissan site. But if I try to log in on the app using the same details it won't let me.

    I have since created accounts with You+Nissan and NissanConnect but still can't get back into the app.

    Welcome to the club Phil. I have been locked out since Wednesday. Wife's old app version continues to work but apart from side loading the old app back I can't think another solution.

    "Should have waited for the official update". I have totally nuked and reinstalled the 3.1.0 but it just redirects to some website that fails to load. And finally my phone has Android 8.1.

    Not wanting to rub salt to your wounds DrPhilG but my app updated fine on iPhone and is working perfectly.

    Its just a reskin really, its still the same app, same data. But you do need to be able to login, of course!

    As a short term solution, if you don't already have it, use the EVA app. I use that most of the time. Pre-heating, charge status etc all work fine in that app.

    That's a good point. EVA is an iOS but the LEAF manager will probably work just fine. Trying it now.

    I used the username (not email address) and password that the car navigation unit uses and Europe as location and it just worked for me.

    Its an App called "EVA". Have a look for it and try it. It uses the same login credentials as the Nissan app and, imo, its better than the Nissan app.

    However, if you have a problem with your account and your login credentials are not working then you are screwed either way.

    Exactly. Makes no sense, I can log into the old Carwings site but every other one tells me that I don't have an account. Yet try logging into the app using the same credentials that work on the PC and I get nowhere.

    I still have the emails in my account letting me know that my remote charge had started etc!

    It might still be worth installing EVA and entering your credentials there as it takes the very same creds as you put into the Nissan app.

    If that doesn't work it would suggest the issue is a general one with your account (maybe locked out). If it does work it would suggest something wrong with your Nissan app.

    At least you'll have something else to take to Nissans support department.

    I don't understand why I can get into the desktop site but not the app.

    KCross, EVA is for iOS only. I think both myself and DrPhilG use Android for which the LEAF manager is an equivalent third party app to EVA.

    Phil, what are the exact symptoms with your Nissan Connect EV 3.1.0? Does yours try to connect https://ncsrsweb.its-mo.com/manipulation/index.php like mine does?

    Mine is just a string and not an email address. You may still have the details in your inbox from the time when you initially registered to carwings. If everything else fails the username is under carwings menu in your navigation unit. This is just for the LEAF manager. If I remember it right the old nissan app worked with both the userid and the email address.

    I haven't actually been able to load the new app at all. It exists immediately and then tries to open that its-mo.com site on the browser. Could be unique problem to my phone I guess.

    Sorted.

    Logged into the desktop site, found a section with my username and logged back in on the app.

    The website is still crap - I deregistered a couple of months ago from email notifications on my charging status and I'm still getting them!

    You can turn the notifications off in the car.
