Just watched this the other night after someone recommended it on the recently watched thread. Superb film, great performances and just an incredibly unsettling window into the mundane nature of life in the trenches in between all the destruction and death....and the dread that builds ahead of the next big shift.

Not an action film - though it has one or two scenes - but just a well crafted production about normal people in an awful place and how they cope with it all.

One of the best films I've seen this year. Unfortunately I'd never even heard of it unless it had come and gone in cinemas.

One of the best WWI tench life war films I've seen.

Pity nobody was that interested in it.
