They closed down the first week of January, shame to see them go as they recently opened a store in Galway and it was great. Prices were quite competitive with Amazon and often cheaper. I got a couple hundred worth of vouchers for them at Christmas and went in the week after to order a couple of things, they told me that there were no deliveries for a couple of weeks as couriers weren't operating over Christmas. I spent my 200 euro there and then as I knew something was up.

Might be wrong, but think they're owned by/same company as Golden Discs.

They certainly shared their stock as some of it has found its way to the new Golden Discs on Henry St, Dublin.

They (Head) in turn had a lot of ex HMV stock as well though.

Nope, completely different companies if you check the CRO, Head are owned by a couple in the UK - Golden Discs is owned by an Irish family

Physical media sales really are in the doldrums.
Unless you're cashing in on the vinyl revolution there's no growth to tap into.
