    Hi Folks,

I've been in full time employment for the last five years. I intend to leave my job and go on a six month trip "around the world".

I'm just wondering if I can sign on the second I land back to Ireland?

Also, I will more than likely still have a bit of savings left in my account. Nice cushion to land on. Will they refuse my application when they see I have a few thousand in the bank?

    Thanks

No issue as would be jsb re money so no means test. If back in 2018 based on your 2016 contributions.

You will have to prove habitual residence though...closing overseas accounts, return used ticket and proof of address

    There’s no HRC for JSB

Thanks. Haven't been on the dole in many years. Is Job Seekers Benefit paid into my account or still collected at the post office?

    Collected at the PO.
    Many other changes though recently.
We’re approaching full employment now so you’ll be referred to JobPath pretty quickly in order to get you into a job and off the live register.

Not for Benefit amtc. Certainly for allowance but not for Benefit.
Once it’s established that you’ve the correct PRSI then HRC is not relevant.

I am telling you HRC is routinely required for every application.

amtc are you saying that you made every person who was laid off from work fill a HRC form?

Are we talking about the same thing? As the link given didn't mention it.

All fresh claims filled out 4 forms
    1. Up1...if jsb no need for means if jsa yes
    2. Habitual residence form HRC
    3. Form of commitment to cooperation
    4. A form giving basic details for stats (can't recall name of it)

And I didn't MAKE them. This was standard procedure.
