So basically myself and a few friends are interested in going on holiday to Thailand in June/July.

Just wondering if people can recommend on what part of Thailand to go to. We are in our young 20's so obviously we would like good nightlife etc.

Would appreciate if people could suggest the best way of booking it and how to get best prices.

    Thanks

As a first point just be aware the weather might not be the best. I've been at that time and it's a little unpredictable. The good news is that it's a cheap time to travel.

Depending on how long you've got and funds I'd do the following.

3 nights in Bangkok - hostel or hotel accommodation is relatively cheap, stick around Khaosan Road (I'd recommend D&D hotel) loads to see in Bangkok and it's about a 15 min walk to the grand palace and the big Buddha.

Depending on your budget you can fly or bus/train/boat around. Flying is cheap but the trains are great.

You Also need to fit in full moon party so it this itenary can be adjusted depending on dates.

2-3 nights Phuket, a bit mad and worth a visit, 2 nights is about right and you'll take in a ping pong show :)

Boat to Phi Phi and stay 4 nights, really nice party islamd. Book the boat on the ground in Phuket, easy to do and cheaper. Tonnes of options for accommodation but prices vary.

Depending on time you can get a boat then to Krabi or Ko Lanta, id only go for 2 nights or so and only if youve a month or so to play with. More of a chill out vibe.

If your short on time you can do a boat-bus-boat to Samui. It's about 7-8 hours but way cheaper than flying and also takes the same amount of time roughly as if you fly you have to back to phuket. 4 days in Samui, if you want party id recommend ark bar which is a hotel aswell. Loads of grwat options for hostels, Samui is a bit like Majorca or something, very western but nice beaches.

You can hop a ferry then to Koh Phangan Which is about an hour away. This is the only accommodation you need to book in advance. Full moon time and the island is usually booked a couple of month in advance. Parties every night here but try stay around Baan Tai as opposed to Had Rin. Had Rin is where the full moon party happens but i tended to like being a little away from there.

Another ferry then to Koh Tao were you can spend 3 or 4 nights, chilled party vibe and a lot of people go to do there Padi here. Sairee beach is the main hub of activity.

If you've time I'd recommend heading up to Chang Mai, overnight train is cheap and comfy. You could spend a few nights here and then go up to Pai which is brilliant aswell. If youve more time there are other places I'd recommend aswell. Or if your looking to just stick in one location it's a toss up between a few days each in Phuket/PhiPhi/Krabi or Samui/Phangan/Tao. I'd probably pump for the latter
