It's shared between BBC and ITV. RTE lost the rights to TV3.

Thanks as that site is more updated than lyngsat.

I'm also reminded a similar item regarding a recent competition with the ROI team & RTE 2 HD needed a sub, until someone reminded them that there are other HD channels showing it & RTE changed their tune as they didn't want Irish viewers lost to BBC/ITV wink.png

Does anyone remember that & how long did it take for RTE to cop on & has anyone reminded TV3?

Along a similar vein TV3 are calling it "Super Saturday". In their mixed up wee world they envisage rugby fans tuning in to watch Ireland Has Talent following the big matches.

Quite how they have managed to misjudge the demographics of the average rugby supporter is a worry. They will soon get the message as a mass switch off occurs following the end of the game. Or probably more likely not see as high an audience as envisaged as we watch it on ITV and BBC HD.

Re-branding won't do them a huge favour, unless at the same time they go HD. It would also seem to be a huge opportunity to do so and get some real exposure for the change.

Why anyone would subject themselves to a horrible picture on their TV when they can have a good HD one from another broadcaster, escapes me.

So re-brand all you want, but without HD transmission you get little attention from me, TV3, especially for sports content.

Without HD - it was BBC for the entire evening for us.
