for sake of argument , say said tractor hasn't became a coke tin yet? would it be fit to tow said tanker . bit of a wettish lane then dry field. just wondering anyone else using smallish 2wd tractor for similar .

Traction and braking capacity are the issues. We regularly spread slurry with a 1300 gallon tanker here with Mf 2wd 90hp. Land is flat though and we wouldn't be going out if conditions were poor.

70 HP will pull it on good flat ground, but it will be at its limit.Tanker tyres and tractor tyres will be crucial.

Yes it'll pull it alright on a dry level field. But I wouldn't like to be going too far along a main road.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
