What's your most immersive experience in VR?

For me it's definitely table tennis (first Racket Fury, then Eleven, both on the Rift). I would even say that these games are the killer apps for VR on any platform.

It's the first time I've really felt like "I have a table tennis table in my house! W00t!". I often have to remind myself I really don't literally have a table when I tell people I've taken up table tennis.

I'd go as far as saying it's a valid replacement for the real thing and I certainly would have no way of fitting a table in my house otherwise.

As for Immersive moments, probably would have to go to Skyrim on the PSVR where I stood on an outpost overlooking a cave beneath me full of skeleton warriors. From here I let off a single arrow and hit the warrior smack in the eyeball even though he was a mile off. Felt like I was legitimately an ace archer.

I think it was yourself that pointed me in the direction of Littlstar. I find that app VERY immersive.

Well other than the unmentionable, Elite dangerous. I was sitting there saying I'm in a fecking space ship, I'm in a space ship for longer than an adult really should.

    Elite Dangerous definitely
I tried a few Pinball sims and knocked together a pretty basic pinball controller out of an old X-Arcade setup , and it works pretty well!

I tried Eleven and hated it,

Probably Pavlov for me, but the flight sims are pretty eye dropping

Wow really? First negative comment I've heard about Eleven. What didn't you like?

Robo Recall is deadly, probably my favourite experience though for sheer pant ****ting terror, the horror game where you're exploring the abandoned mental hospital was just off the charts.

Some of the 'adult' stuff is good too in a technical sense but the VR Girlz scanned models are the best, the clarity is exceptional and you can move fully freely around them all.

My housemate, who's gay, was watching his brand of content on it one day and was really impressed. He was watching something involving burly, bearded men, leather and swings.

Him: "Wow! That's amazing! Can....can you guys see what I'm watching on the screen?"

    (long pause)

    Other housemate: "Unfortunately, yes"

    :D

Subnautica and Dirt rally are pretty cool. I expect you to Die, is a fun immersive room escape.

Probably the Shark Encounter and London Heist for me on a PlayStation VR Worlds. Rush of blood is pretty mind blowing too.

On the rift it would probably be dirt rally so far and Doom 3.

Need to play more games really.

I cant stop laughing at this. The "Adult Stuff" is quiet immersive. I reckon thats the next big leap for porn.

As with every video innovation: VHS, DVD, MPEG...porn is what drives the industry forward

As a recent arrival to the world of VR, and someone who hasn't been a gamer for 30yrs, I am mightily impressed by VR from the few demos I have had.

Loved the London Heist on VR Worlds, I found the Last Guardian amazing, but the Rogue One mission on Battlefront was also quality.

Thing is, I really am not into gaming and can't see myself ever getting hooked to sit and play games for hours. I will also be open to demo's though.

That's why VR is great. Unlike flatscreen gaming where you typically sit and stare at a screen, you have many options for VR games that get you up and moving, and are essentially a workout for all intents and purposes.

No more guilt of "sitting on your ass", you are actually getting healthier while playing games :)

Of course there are also many games where you can sit back and relax as you play (like Skyrim), so VR caters for all playstyles.

you're not going to play a lot of VR games for hours without a decent amount of cardio :D

I tried that app on pornhub but it was like a 3D SBS thingy and was all warped.

Not sure where the proper vr porn is at!

A friend told me that the High water mark for Quality is the Free Trailers from the CzechVR site (3 Sub categories) downloaded and viewed through the likes of Virtual Desktop. There is another app called SLR (Sexlikereal) that is both a player and an aggregator for trailers and a store for all the VR Porn Studio's. Pornhub VR is a pixelated joke in comparison.....So my Friend said anyway... ;):D

I'm a 44yo who gave up gaming 10 years ago. Loving VR though. I'm not playing a driving or a spaceship game, I'm sitting in the driving seat of a real car, I'm piloting a real space ship or an F18 weaving through the grand canyon like Independence day. I'm really sitting in a 500 seater iMax Cinema in the comfort of my own home. I'm playing a 1:1 scale version of Table Tennis with someone from Texas even though neither of us have a table tennis table, I'm not playing an FPS like on a monitor, in Onward I am running around a Bazaar in the middle east with a real heavy machine gun that I really have to reload the belt ammo into while under fire. Its more akin to Airsoft in real life than FPS on a 24inch monitor in front of you.

TLDR. I'm a 44yo with no interest in Flat monitor PC or Console gaming for over 10 years but I absolutely love VR and wish I had more free time to play it!!

Actually the weird thing I find about VR is I have to feel ready to play it, like right now I pulled some muscles in my back/neck, nothing too severe but I'm not putting a headset on until its cleared up
