Cloudy Lemonade tap water in Northside?

    Hey everyone,

My mam is Thomondgate based and her tap is giving out very 'white' water lately. It started last week when her water went off for about an hour and then came back on. She said someone she bumped into in the shop told her a pipe was hit and was being fixed, but who knows really. Didn't know it was still happening until yesterday. She showed me that after about 5 minutes, the sediment (or whatever it is) disappears and looks to rise to the top to make it clear again but that can't be OK to drink??

Anyone else have this issue, or know what's going on/who to get onto?

Left is direct from the tap. Right is from the shop (Topaz 3 euro a bottle!!! - ugh, when will they get an Aldi or something in Thomondgate?)

Yeah they were working on a pipe last week.
We ran the tap for about twenty minutes before it cleared up.
It was a big job they were doing, started about 11pm and kept going until about 4pm the next day.

Run the tap until you get clear water.
    That should sort it out.

    Whereabouts is she?

It's probably just entrained air... probably...

Happens when the pipes are reconnected and air mixes in with the water as it repressurises, nothing to worry about really but as someone else said run the tap for a while to get rid of it
