Putting down engineered wood floor

If an engineered wood floor is being glued to a concrete floor does this mean there is no underlay or moisture membrane put below the wood floor i.e. the wood is glued directly to the concrete?

I am looking at getting a herringbone engineered wood floor. The floor in the room is concrete. Is gluing it directly to the concrete the most common approach?
