Hi, Has anyone any experience with Tarkett laminate flooring, or laminate flooring in general? Are they hard to keep, do they look awful after a couple of years, any info at all! Thanks.

Its a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string' question I'm afraid.

There are loads of different laminates. From dirt cheap muck guys are selling on Facebook for €5 per yard, to stuff thats top end, very expensive and which will last decades in a house.

You will tend to get what you pay for, and how much traffic you inflict on it.

Thanks Niman, I'm looking at 20e+/sq m ! It looks amazing and great quality in the showroom but worried about how it will look in a few years!

Most laminates have an 'AC' rating, which tells you how tough they are, and might give you an idea of how they will wear for your location.

Does this type of laminate come with a guarantee? some of the better laminates offer up to 25yrs, so you would imagine they'd be fairly robust.
