Hi. I am moving rooms around in the house and have two unused and never used gas pipes. One in kitchen and one in the fireplace. Both are just sitting there crimped and welded shut. What is best practice. Would these be dead lines closed at a valve.

Best practice is to call a RGI plumber, the pipes will more than likely be live with gas at the minute.
