Put new galvanised roof down on top of old insulate one?

Here is one for the galvanised corrugated roof experts.

I have inherited a large studio space which was an old farm building years ago, it has an old corrugated roof with spray foam insulation. Roof is approx 150m square.

The roof and sheets themselves are in decent nick... no rust. But there are leaking from the purlines like a b*tch ( no foam on purlins). The roof has gotten two coats of paint and all joints and gaps got a coat of this expensive rubber-like sealer. All that helped a little, but the still leaks in several spots on a rainy day. I suspect single laps being the cause of the pain. ( clear lights need replacing also)

As the roof was spray foamed a few years ago, so I am not really into the idea of ripping it all up and just putting a new roof down. The roof is fairly flat... so my question is, is it possible to just put a new roof ontop of it?

i.e. put all new sheets down, following the same groves but making sure that there are enough laps using this time?

Silly idea? Other suggestions or just rip it off and replace for piece of mind?
