00 Yaris - electrical problems

    Hi All,

I have a 00 yaris, last week the radio stopped working, the screen which shows the clock, temperature and radio station is blank with no lights. I also have a separate CD below the heating controls which doesn't work either. The controls for the heating lights up as normal and the heating is working fine.
The car light in the roof doesn't work, and the buzzer noise when you take out keys but leave the lights on doesn't work.

Do you think it is all connected or just a coincidence

I have checked all the fuses and they are all fine, checked the wiring behind the radio all fine

    Is there anything else?

This still sounds like a fuse to me.
Try and identify where the fuse is from the manual and swap it out anyways.
As far as I know it should just be the one fuse that controls all of the items you have listed

It’ll most likely be the cigarette lighter fuse

    Thanks for the reply's

tcawley29 that diagram looks spot on. Didn't check the fuse box under the glove box so I reckon that's where my problem is.

Will check it out over the weekend and hopefully its a quick fix.

    Cheers

As tcawley29 mentioned, swap fuse over with another of same rating anyway.
Sometimes fuses can look fine but are broken.

As others have said it's probably just a fuse. Electric problems on yaris's is extremely rare.

Check both CIG and DOME fuses.
