    Bought this

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0148NMVQA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_AmYBAb62VS976

Arriving today. Just saw that I may need an additional Philips bridge in order for it to work?

Is this true? With just the kit, what functions do I have?

With the bridge, what does this enable? Voice control?

    Sorry, new to all this.

Do you have a Hue Bridge already?

Without the Hub, you can plug it in and it'll turn on but be white only.
You will not be able to dim it, change colour or remote control it with phone or voice.

Get one on Adverts.ie for cheap:

I bought one off that adverts listing, very nice fella to deal with and the hub was brand new.

One thing you'll notice when you plug it in is that it'll list the lights that came with the actual hub (as it's part of a starter pack) but it's really easy to remove these and just pair up your own lights.
