Where they dipped? Sounds like dermo... I take it the affected sheep are outside? It should cure itself after shearing but you could give a long acting antibiotic or oxytetracycline in very bad cases.

Wu used to blame clik for damaging the wool, were they treated with Clik, she'd be scratching if it was scab/lice.
If it's not spreading I wouldn't be too worried.
We always dip and it keeps the wool right

Till me dipping should have been an option on the sheep welfare scheme for both highland and lowland flocks. Nothing beats it... seen me buying in replacements that were either sprayed or dipped and i had nothing but hassle with them. Wrangler what's your opinion on this?

I used Click this year. It is not spreading and isn't affecting the ewe

    I'd agree.
Overusing the ivermectins as treatment for scab etc will eventually leave them useless for worms, we dip every year here in september and it keeps the sheep right.
But i find that dipping for maggots doesn't last very long, so I use Clik.
I don't like the mobile dippers though, they used to be very dirty

Usually dip here once aswell never have much bother with Flystrike thank God... dipped twice this year because off the replacements I bought in and done it on Christmas week believe it or not worked a treat no bother since... I've no time for the sheep showers but haven't seen the mobile dippers in action till be honest so can't comment... as u say about using the ivermectin for scab I agree and before housing here I thought till myself it's easier on the sheep and me till dip once and be done than have till gather and inject twice with ivermectin. Definitely should have been I sheep welfare scheme the more I think on it.
