    Hello,

    need you advice, please.

Because of low temperatures over the night in December and condensation on the windows, the mould/mildew started to appear on walls near window (attached photo).

There was no problem with it before, it started to happen after I've installed draught excluder foam near doors/windows.

I started to open windows more frequently than before so this beast is not expanding any more.

What I need from you is advice:
    - what product to use to clean the surface?
    - what product to use to paint it over (bathroom paint)?

It would be great if products are accessible from Tesco / Woodie's as they are in my neighbourhood but I don't mind going to some specialized shop.

    Thanks

There are products for cleaning but I prefer using neat vinegar to kill the mould then warm soapy water to finish before painting with Ronseal 6 year Anti Mould paint available from Woodies.

How long does it take walls to dry after using soapy water?
    Bleach.

    Household bleach like Domestos?

    Buy flash with bleach.

    Tesco have it.

Spray it in liberally don't wipe leave it as is.

    Leave it overnight

Spray it again liberally the next day don't wipe it leave as is.

Then do it again.it will be gone in 2 days. This stuff murders mould.

Lidl sometimes have chlorine spray. You have to air out the room for a few hours afterward, but it should leave you able to wipe it off within ten minutes.

Bleach. 3 to 1 ratio with water. spray on and wipe off as if it runs it will leave tracks on your paint. Get a shellac based primer to coat the area prior to painting. This will kill off and stop any staining coming through your top coats BUT unless you address the cause of the mold appearing in the first place, it will come back.
