I've been offered a double cola fridge as part payment for a job I done.this guy knows I shoot deer so I'd say he thought he had me when I done the job and he offered me the fridge.what do you guys think it's worth to a deer hunter.its in as new condition. i just want to be fair and not ask him for too much cash on top of the fridge.

i got my one from a guy just about to put it in a skip ,as the paint was starting to flake off of the shelf's health inspector said it had to go,i wasn't going to be using the shelf's any way , asked if he would keep it till later while i was getting my trailer and i gave him e20 it works perfect 100% , disconnected the lighting ,
have seen them on done deal for e600 from agents but dont know what guarantee they are giving with them and would want to be pretty new , others sell for e200- 300 depending on condition which i think to be a more realistic price, some of the older ones still run on the older gas and beyond fixing if they leak no difference between 1 or 2 door only more room if you have it to spare ,so i think 200-300 if clean, in good condition , working perfectly , would be a fare price , cooling technicians aint cheap

You would want to check if it is his to sell in the first place. Most of these coolers are supplied to the customer on loan from the beverage company. The customer just sells there products. The company retains the ownership.

Coca cola delivered a new fridge to him when he took over the new business.i was there when it arrived and when he asked did they want the old one,the lad just said he didn't and hold onto it as a spare.its only 3 years old.he told me it's worth 700 but I'm not sure.i only need it for one deer every now and then.has anyone any knowledge on how to put a bar in to hang the deer.

Its not necessarily what its worth on the open market. Its what you are willing to pay for it or at least allow for it as part payment. If you really want it, allow him a reasonable amount. If you dont really want/ need it then only allow him a little. Seems like he might be trying to get rid of it and as its not part of the original agreement put him on the back foot.

Got mine for free, for moving it out of a pub.It seems some of these drink companies just write these off after a while as too old to reclaim once they reach a certain age??

Some of these fridges do actually belong to the retailers as a few years back Coca-Cola started selling the older fridges to the retailers for a nominal amount (5 euros) in order to get away from the obligation of having to service them.

One way to hang deer is first to remove all the shelves. Select the shelf that's in the best condition and reinstall it to the highest possible notch (just below the roof of the fridge). Then just hang a small butchers hook or similar from the bars of the shelf. this should take the weight of a regular deer and no need to go making up bars etc.

I bought one from a shop owner for €80,and they are not worth much more because of the branding, legally they cannot be sold or exchanged, they remain the property of coka cola. Nail him for your money

I just wandered in here because of the thread title, and I was thinking, what does a deer hunter want with a double fridge? My first guess, until I read a few replies, was that you're going to take it into the woods and use it as a hide.

You got it for a great price, but it cost him nothing. Put up a picture, and I'll tell you how much that model is worth.
