    Nice colour
    Low miles
    Over a year nct
    Surname of seller
    Green light
    Looks OK
    Belts done....are there receipts?
Max 1900 and I wouldn't travel too far to see it.
13 years old so insurance might be an issue

Are you serious ? Almost 3 grand for a 13 year old petrol golf ??

That’s not a TSI or anything. It’s the Shiite 75bhp engine.

That’s at least a grand overpriced IMO

    Plus it’s a Sportline, not a GT.

    GT lol.

It's a bog standard Golf and worth anywhere near 2.8k. I know someone who sold a similar 04 in average condition recently and got 1.5k for it.

That said, it does look honest, relatively low mileage and plenty of test. The car itself is probably fundentally quite good. If agree though, the asking price is around €1k too much.

Is there even such thing as a golf gt?

Yes and it’s very similar to the sportline and was available with the 1.4 non turbo too

Ah Sportline, GT, Highline... whatever. Does it really matter on a 13 year old car? They’re just the marketing badges of the day.

That said, it is a Sportline 1.4 75bhp, wouldn’t pull your socks off. It’s an old car now, it’ll feel a bit grim to drive and will lack anything in the way of creature comforts. Near 3k is probably too much but if it’s an honest car it’ll probably give you a few years hassle free.

They did have a GT model back then afaik, think it was reserved for the 2.0 TDi and 1.4 TSi engines though, it was a slightly cheaper alternative to the GTD/GTi. They then introduced a GT Sport trim with the regular non TSi 1.4 engine when they facelifted the Golf in circa 2008.
