Percy 4/1 AND 6/1 with Boyles.....

So, looking on my phone this am, Percy was 4/1 in Boyles for the RSA
In work looked again, PC now 6/1
was thinking why it drifted so much?
The noticed, when I went to put on the bet on phone it was quoting 6/1 but the potential stake returned was 4/1......
So I went to the shop, had a look on the desktop in the bookies at the AP Prices, and sure enough, 6/1...
So I doubled it with Samcro 7/4, wrote the prices on the docket and they took the bet.

But, once agaon did a test on phone and still paying the stake of 4/1 despite saying 6/1
So, I have my slip, from the shop, it says 6/1, they took the bet. The PC says 6/1...

If The double comes in, what price am I paid at??

Someone on Boyles has made that error so, as lemush says they will probably check the timestamp and adjust the price to 4/1 if it comes in.

Checked there, 7/2 now.

Chances are that it was mistake but if their screens said 6 and they took the bet, at least it's an argument to be had.....just not one you're likely to win.

Yep just roll with it and if it clicks you can assess your options then.

Usually if the screens say 6s they will pay out but will obviously have to argue with them.
Did you take a picture of the 6s therefore you will then nearly guaranteed to be paid out

Palp error covers everything unfortunately.

Why didn't you ask them to check in the shop? If its a mistake you won't get paid at 6s no matter how much photographic evidence you have.

Mark i was in Boyles shop this morning, i have put on an AP bet for cheltenham. Its a double for the wednesday. Samcro @7/4 in the Ballymore, Presenting Percy @6/1 in the RSA Chase. I took the price from the website on the computer in the shop, the lady took my bet, the bet is live. 20 euro Double. I have noticed tho that Presenting Percy is fluctuating all day onsite between 6/1 and 4/1... i took a screen shot which includes time and date and the price from the site. Can I be guaranteed if the bet wins, I will be paid at 6/1. Thanks. Mark

He's an absolute monster and consistently under rated, prob because he's not with GE or WPM

Ah here. I could get your argument if they were cutting prices to nrnb prices but they're a fair bit better on most races. Its called antepost betting for a reason and 7 weeks prior the bloody event it's not unreasonable they want the market at antepost.

You're missing the point - bookies can essentially spout palpable error on anything. To get it reversed you need to go through IBAS which can take a year. Your phone calls, messaging, etc... means diddly-squat.

It’s 7/2 and the 6/1 was an error.

Edit. Post race trimmed to 7/2 but still think you may be snookered on your bet but worry about that if they both win I guess:)
