de-registering from vat ?

    Hi lads I'm thinking of deregistering from vat doing a bit of baling here about 6 k bales thoughts ?any answers would be a great help thanks lab man

    May be very hard you are doing nearly 50K in work on baling if wrapping as well. I imagine as well that you may be doing other contracting. It is very easy to register for vat, ir is very hard to deregister As well you have to pay back any difference if there any excess vat claim over the last three year I think. This might come into pay if you bought a baler or tractor. Here is some info on deregistering.

    Thanks bass I'll have to look at it it was grand up to a few years ago but I'm finding it harder and harder to collect money as there is virtually zero dairy men in this area all suckler so they don't pay till payments come In then the likes of me are at the end of the line
