You need to figure out your requirements. What size are you thinking? Do you bake a lot? Duel fuel something you are interested in?
Tell us how you cook and your needs and we can advise.

Might chime in here if the OP doesn't mind, currently researching similar myself.

Looking for a range or range-top, something that's built (like a tank) to last.

Definitely gas on top either way. Was originally thinking electric ovens below, but only because I've never used gas. Oven would mainly be used for roasting meat and veg, low cooking casseroles. Baking needs would typically be for pizzas these days (from scratch naturally), though wouldn't rule out getting into breads again. I've read gas described as moist heat which intrigues me.

Width wise I think I may only be looking at 90cm annoyingly. Though it's a new build so have yet to talk to the kitchen crowd. Show house looks like it'd accommodate a 90cm width max.

Brand wise I'd love to stretch to a Lacanche. That would depend on the cost of flooring, everything else etc.

Have also been looking at used Lacanche and Wolf stuff from the UK. Thoughts on buying used?

Another brand I've read positive things about is Kitchen aid (not sure if their major appliances are available here).

Looked at a FisherPaykel in Power City and it looked solid enough. Knowo nothing about this brand though.

    Nice one.

    Dalzell's?

Did you go up, just wondering if they have many range cookers on display?
