backlog getting out of control ,over 250 thousand permits out there as we speak, going to be interesting when herr ross forces guards to impound vehicles driven by permit holders unaccompanied, there will be massive influx of applications and system already under severe pressure.wonder what the wonderful plan the wonderful RSA come up with, you can rest assured it will be a disaster like last time.
Rumour has it more outsourcing on the way so probably more jobs on the way .
If you are waiting for test you better get on the phone now and try and jump the queue.

Booked my test at the end of September and just received my date for next month this week. So 5 month wait in all. I'd about three lessons left when I booked it so closer to 4 months wait in reality.

In Cork, applied end of Sept & got notified of test for 1March, five months. My sister was 6 months last year.

You must not have noticed that they were advertising for new examiners before Christmas.

I finished my ADT last week and just got my date issued for a month away in Limerick, which is the ideal lead in. Perhaps people might have switched their tests to Ennis or Newcastle West which have higher pass rates, creating cancellations in lower pass rate centres.

I applied last March, got my test in September. Failed that and applied again straight away, have my test now next week, so 5 months wait each time. Oh, and when I applied for my second test, I put my name down for a cancellation.

The only thing stressing me out doing my test next week is knowing it’s going to be another 5 months (or more) wait if I fail and have to apply again.

Applied for my test in Wilton Cork back in mid August and passed last Tuesday (Jan 23). The wait only seems to be getting longer - would definitely have went for a cancellation next time if I failed it.
