What do you think I could reasonably expect to sell 06 Peugeot 407 1.8 ST Comfort?

Car is really nice shape, with full service history, and only 120k km on the clock and timing belt done 2 years ago at 104k km.

Do you reckon I could take more than a €1000 or not really?

I reckon if you get offered near 1k for it then snap their hand off. Unfortunately it's not a very desirable car even though it would probably be more reliable than the more common 1.6 diesel version.

Yep I agree somewhere in the 1000 range would be good for you.
Would be good for a buyer too.
Not a desirable car but mileage is nice and low.

I decided to not follow your advice initially, and advertised for €1650.
We'll see if there will be any interest - if not might need to lower the price after some time.

What not just say 120km. I don't think I'd use only for anything over 100,000

IMO 120k km is low for 12 year old car.
    Certainly lower than average.

Some new number plates would do alot for that car for cheap. In addition id remove the "fluff" from your ad about reliability etc. Stick to the facts only. Id also remove the section about high spec model as it is actually the lowest spec model they sold (no offense meant just stating facts) missing the nav, colour screen, phone, inbuilt hdd for music, leather, 18" wheels etc.

They are a nice barge but not very sought after unfortunately.

Good ad IMO. Good pictures too.

What are you replacing it with?

    Thanks for your opinion.

I actually intentionally put fluff info about the car, to point more at people less knowledgeable about cars, as I think those are more likely buyers of that kind of car.
Indeed number plates are not in great shape... I'm bit hesitant to spend 20 quid though to make it look better on the photos. Maybe photoshop would be easier :)

I wasn't aware of spec being lowest. I actually though most of those peugeots didn't have auto lights, auto wipers and auto dimming mirrors or leather steering wheels, but maybe I was wrong. It was just friend of mine working as salesman in peugeot dealer who gave me impression it was fairly hi spec model after he was doing some checks for me once. (he works in dealer abroad though so maybe specs are different there).

    Thanks George.
    2006 Honda CRV. Already purchased.
Main reason for a change was that car is going to be exported abroad anyway later this year, and I couldn't get any VRT refund on the Peugeot, while I can on a CRV.
Not huge money, but considering value of those cars, it's considerable amount.

Good ad, nice pics but I'd agree with the other poster who said change the plates. Also a spray of oven cleaner on the grille should work wonders and really freshen it up to match the rest of the car.
