Claiming health expense on form 12. My Dentist sent me a Med 2 with €2,000.00 worth of eligible expense to claim tax relief on. Do think im entitled to €400.00 back. Do I enter the total amount of expenses (2000) or the amount you need to claim (400) on the form ?

My Dentist sent me a Med 2 with €2,000.00 worth of eligible expense to claim tax relief on. Do think im entitled to €400.00 back.

Do I enter the total amount of expenses (2000) or the amount you need to claim (400) on the form ?

Enter the total amount of 2,000. You will be granted relief of 20%. Provided ypur pay and tax balances you should get a refund of 400
