    Hi All,

My father has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer which has spread to his liver also. We are all in total shock as he is a fit, active and healthy 62 year old man. He is the most positive person you could meet who is always on the go so it is an absolute nightmare at the moment for us all. We found out last week and the plan is now start chemo next week.

They are giving him a strong chemo which is meant to be very good but also has strong side effects. We realise and have been told this is one of the worst cancers to get. We have been told it is inoperable and incurable and basically we are trying to manage it and give him as long a life left as possible.

Just wondering if there is anyone who has overcome this or knows of someone who has? From my research there are people who have even though they were told there would be no way they would. I am only getting round now to researching it in more depth as the last week has been a whirlwind. I would be extremely grateful if anyone has any info on this. Any alternative treatments or anything that may help other than the chemo he will be getting.

I have been reading into a vitamin b17 which some researchers / doctors say is the cure for cancers but again this is something I need to look into more.

We are basically devastated and are looking for any info / success story/ alternative treatment that might help our father.

    Many thanks

Sorry can't be of much help to you but for what it's worth a friend of mine was diagnosed with the same thing over 3 years ago..He wasn't given much chance of long term survival but thankfully is still alive today..He puts his success down to Cannabis use . Maybe it's just a coincidence but thought I would let you know anyway.. Hopefully everything works out well for your Da..
