No prsi payments showing for previous tax year on my welfare.ie

I have recently requested a prsi statement of last year. It was issued on the 8th of Jan. It shows zero contributions paid by my employer. Is it because it is too early into the new tax year that the payments haven't been processed or is it looking possible that my employer hasn't paid the contributions?

Too early. Your employer has untill mid February to file their end of year p35 showing your personal contributions. This had to be shared then with Welfare so it could March or April before there's a record of them.

Great. Thank you for replying. It's quite difficult to find a straight answer and I had been under the impression the employer must pay it quarterly.

The period in which the employer must pay his tax does not match the period in which the employer has to declare his tax.

The period in which the employer must pay his tax does not match the period in which the employer has to declare his tax.

What CIARAN_BOYLE means (I think) is that the quarterly payments are simply recorded as totals of PAYE/PRSI/USC and possibly LPT.
No details of the breakdown of these amounts, or to which employees they apply is given until the P35L is submitted, with the P35, which is due to be filed before Feb 15th of the following tax year.

Thanks again. I understand that paid prsi contributions will be shown on my p60 which I should receive. Is it correct that I should get this form in the next few weeks?

Yes. You should get it as soon as the P35/P35L is finalised, sometime before February 15th (in a perfect world), but if you don't get it by then, ask your employer for it.

    Hi,
So I got my p60 yesterday. There are no prsi payments noted on it.
Is it time to approach my boss over this or hold out until march/ April?

    Thanks
