What are your thoughts when applying for new work

Is anyone in a job they like but thought differently when applying? Hope that makes sense. Like you maybe thought that you wouldn't like it but applied anyway.

I'm stuck in a dead end job. They won't even look at me for progression. I could try for new work but the pay is horrendous. Between my treatment and the horrible pay, I want out.

I have been thinking of doing something new. I looked into it and there's a course I can apply for in the summer. The course will allow me to work and learn and once qualified the pay is 10000 euro extra per year than what I'm on currently.

A job came up yesterday, which sounds good. It sounds like it would be a good start into what I'd like to do.

Is it worth applying to a job where I'm not 100 percent sure of. The travel is an hour to and from. It's in a small town, and I prefer city living, but it's not too far from the city either for my days of.

So what I'm asking is anyone else in a job which they weren't sure of but turns out it was for the better.

Another thing is, I don't think I have enough to move location as well. Maybe in a few months though.

If your not happy go for it. I did it last year and haven't been happier. Even when iv a bad day at work I still go home in a good mood. Even if it's only a stepping stone to for it

I applied for the job and I'm going to see what comes from it.

Is it worth sending of my CV to places that aren't looking as well? Really have to make some changes this year.

It wouldn't hurt. It happened to me a few years ago. I sent off a cv in 2010 got a phone call in August 2015 company said they are interested in recruiting me ect ect. Unfortunately timing was bad and ended up stuck in the s***hole job an other 2 years. So as pointless as it might seem at times not all places forget about cvs in some file somewhere.

I'm being positive with my job hunt this year. I have received two calls already. One was to send on my CV and another today for an interview. They must like something about my CV.
