Childminder - Registering with Revenue

    Hi Guys,

Looking for a little advice regarding employing a childminder in the home please. I'm about to register the person as an employee with revenue. However there was a period of 20 weeks where she worked for us last year (Jan to June) for cash - approx €300 per week. We had intended to register her for that time but because it was so short in the end we didn't follow through. After that period we didn't require her again until now. I would like to legitimise that period where she worked with us with revenue and she would like to also. Is that a wise course of action? I prefer things to be above board and straight forward. Advice or assistance gratefully received.
