my wife broke the pipe

We bought a new dishwasher and it was delivered 2 weeks ago and her brother(the plumber) who was supposed to fit it has now gone away to the Uk for 6 weeks to work so he couldnt install it.

Anyway, she accidentally got the inlet hose stuck while her and my son where moving it from the garage and broke the inlet hose. When looked inside the flexi pipe you can see she has broken the small see through pipe in half somehow. Is there a way of fixing this like a small straight connection or is it a case of having to buy a whole new inlet valve pipe and connect it to the dishwasher.

The old dishwasher will have an identical inlet pipe you can use?

Already been removed from the house before this one arrived. Its the actual pipe thats inside the flexi pipe. Do you know what one this is? Theres also a cable runnning inside it.

Put up a photo if you can, or failing that, put up the make and model number, then describe precisely where this pipe is. Its extremely unlikely that a water/waste pipe would also have a wire running through it.

May turn out to be not as bad as you fear....

IT has, its an anti flood type inlet hose where one has a live wire running inside the flexi along with the water pipe beside it. Its for when if it ever leaks, it can detect it and shut off the water supply to it.

If this was to be installed externally, it would be straight forward however it is running into the back of the dishwasher.

Aaah. Sounds sophisticated, not like any I've had. Sorry, I'll step out and let the experts offer something.

    Good luck.
