Trouble Serving Notice of Intent to Marry

Just wondering if anyone has recent experience registering intent to marry in the Dublin Registration office? My fiance is living and working in the U.S. and I'll be joining him there once we're married. The wedding will be here in Ireland in June. I can't book an appointment online to give our 3 months notice since my fiance will be sending his documents by post. But I'm finding it incredibly difficult to find out exactly what we need to do. I've spent the last week trying to phone the office and each time I get through to someone they can't make an appointment for me and tell me someone will phone me back, which they don't. One girl told me I need to book my venue and celebrant and then get back to her, so I did, and then another guy told me they'd have to get all of my fiance's paperwork in before they'll make an appointment. I have yet to speak to someone who can get the ball rolling on this and I'm getting a bit concerned that all of this is going to take much longer than I thought. How long is the wait time for an appointment? How long do they take to process paperwork for a non-EU fiancé. I'm starting to really stress over something I thought was going to be straightforward. If anyone's been through this recently I'd love to know how you got on! Thanks!

I gave up on the Dublin office and phoned the Naas registry office. The girl I spoke to could not have been more helpful and I'm all sorted for forms, postal notification and appointments. I wish I'd called her first!! Now on with the wedding planning!!
