    I'm looking for a non-stolen laptop cheap!  I'm always a bit sus about buying on ebay etc. as how do I know it's not stolen?

    Anyway, I'm looking for the best value laptop with the following specs

    [*]GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB GDDR5
    [*]Intel Core i7 7th or 8th Gen
    [*]16 GB Memory
    [*]>=1 TB HDD
    [*]>=256 GB PCIe SSD

    Newegg seems about the best there is in Ireland.  There's a lot of great offers in the UK from dell outlet but I'm hoping to reclaim the VAT so parcel motel is out...

    Has anyone seen anything better than the below?

    https://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834850068&ignorebbr=1

    It's more expensive than I'd hoped to spend so suggestions definitely welcome

    if you can get the vat back and only pay the 974 sterling it's a good deal.

    maybe this one would work out cheaper when the vat is off as it's 1049 sterling with english vat on amazon. it delivers to ireland.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-i7-7700HQ-Graphics-Windows-Leopard/dp/B074LMNWZB/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1516630954&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=1060+laptop

    smaller ssd though and the 1060 is 3gb instead of 6gb. there is not a huge difference between the 3gb and 6gb in actual perf afaik. the msi is a good bit lighter though in weight.

    do some research to see what the screen quality is like on each as it may differ.

    I picked up a msi Stealth Pro from the Amazon warehouse.

    1060gpu 16gb ram 256ssd and a 2tb 2.5 inch disk.

    How much 1030 euros to me a bargin it's a bit bigger then my old MacBook pro but looks a 2k laptop.

    Can't wait to try it out now tonight and see how it does when I trow stuff at it.

    seems a nice sized small laptop for the power. how did you spot it on amazon - did you use an alert?

    presume that it's not the 4k screen model?

    Had a look and seen it was in the warehouse and my Amazon box came open so they refunded me 20% for that.

    Think 4k is over kill on a small laptop you can't tell the diff that close.

    I had a retina mac before this and being honest the msi screen impressed me.

    So after nearly 2 weeks with the laptop I am extramly impressed with it as only cost 1030 euros but if it was 2k I would not be impressed at all.

    would it not be normal for warehouse boxes to be open? with them being returns etc? good deal at that price.

    It's extramly hit and miss on the warehouse but the savings are there if you can risk it.

    I have prob been happy with 85% of the orders I have got from it 15% went back.

    But on laptop I was lucky it was never used or turned on it was open and retaped up that's it.

    While I got a hover and it was used and missing all its parts ha and has to go back.
