I was let go not so long ago from Tesco, and I haven't received my p60, or p45. Would it be at all possible to get my tax Back by downloading my payslip and putting onto the revenue website so they can calculate it and pay it back? I can't wait any longer for my p60. They say it will be April by the time it's sent out.

The latest they can give you a P60 by law is mid February.

If you have your final payslip for 2017 and know the figures to input online, that's acceptable

    Hi OP

No, Revenue will not do that for you - it will be sent straight back to you. Your payslip does not contain enough information to determine the tax you paid, and it won't be paid back to you unless you were taxed too much.

You need to go back to Tesco and get your P45 - they are obliged to supply you with one so your next employer knows how to tax you. If they refuse, you can call Revenue and ask about getting a P43 (the person on the phone will explain what that is and if it is warranted in your situation). But go back to Tesco before asking for that.

If you were let go this year, you need to get your P45 and P60. They cannot withhold the P60 for that long.

If you were let go last year, you need to get your P60. You can then go online and request a P21 balancing statement - if you were taxed too much, you may be due some of it back.

I called up revenue and they told me to download a pdf of my last payslip of 2017 and my p45 to the enquiries section. They said it would take 5 working days to have the tax put back into my account. I was still on emergency tax so theres upwards of a grand that i have yet to get back.

was wondering as it would make a difference P60 is what needed P45 less relevant in that case. With a P60 they have till end of Feburary to issue. P35 have to be filed with Revenue by Feb 23rd. P60 are normally issued after that.

Tesco claims it will take the end of April by the time it's sent out.
