I am a primary school teacher and would love some recommendations of some of the songs that your kids enjoy learning at school

I find it hard to pick some of the modern pop ones and what may be aprropriate to them. I would love any recommendations thanks.

As for tradational, I usually pick songs I like myself e.g. Caladonia, Go Lassie Go etc but would love to hear some other recommendations that you think should make that list too.

Also open to covering a few as Gaeilige: )

    Thanks so much

Kidz Bop usually cover modern songs and have appropriate lyrics for children. They have a you tube channel and are also featured on Go Noodle.
Go Noodle also offer a few silly call and response songs which may interest your class depending on the age group.
For modern songs in Irish have a look at TG Lurgan.

My boy enjoyed learning Rattling Bog at around age 6. Still have a video of him singing it off by heart- hilarious!

    This one is nice

I remember learning ' weela weela walya ' in school when I was a kid.
Looking back it was a very strange choice, I think it was doing the rounds with the Dubliners at the time, as kids we thought it was gas!
