My own android phone is working away perfectly but I'm trying to set up
a brand new alcatel pixie android phone for a friend.

When in notifications my wifi icon is there but shaded out.

First time I tried to connect it asked me for the password which I entered
and the icon lit up like a light bulb, but soon as I left the notifications page,
there was no icon showing anywhere.

Go back in and try again, its tries and does connect 'sometimes' but when u
leave no joy, other times it just says 'authenticating problem'

How do I resolve this, so near sooooooo far:(

    Sick rebooting modem and phone.

No joy but the modem shows both devices connected.
