It seems lexus uk will give 3500 sterling for an old diesel scrappage.

The list of car in uk is 26995 sterling. After scrappage(provided they take in southern reg) I pay 23445 sterling which is 26581Euro.

I don't have to pay the uk vat I think which is 4350 which leaves me @ 4931euro so that's 22230 Euro before I go to Vrt and pay Vat in the south.

Can anyone finish the vrt and vat calculations please?? Is there saving considering my diesel down South is worthless and no scrappage deal.

Car in south is 39k euro

    Thanks

    UK New Car Price £: | 23445
    Less UK VAT: | 19537.5
    Converted to € | 21882
    With Irish VAT | 26915
With VRT (change rate) | 31665

List price of F-Sport is €36,600.00, in the UK it's £26,995. They're quite unlikely to take a southern reg, but no harm trying.

If the facelift has a new price in Ireland, do you not think it will have a price increase in the UK too?

Otherwise, you're comparing pre-facelift UK with post-facelift Ireland.

UK VAT rate is 20%. However, you may receive more back. I'm not sure how the dealer will charge VAT with the trade-in.

Lexus have reportedly stopped selling the CT in the US, and this is the second facelift they’ve given the CT here.
I would factor in the likelihood that a ROI dealer might well give away most of the margin on one or reg it as a demo,I reckon there’s around €5k margin at list price. I heard them advertising scrappage on the NX, maybe there’s something on the CT too? Looks like there would still be quite a price gap though.
