Opinions on trousers with stripes?

    I like them but think you'd have to be careful what you'd style them with - heels or a pointy, formal flat could work, or some kind of stylised, low cut brogue. Anything vaguely sporty would be a no go, as your friend implied!
    I don't know why but I could picture them with some kind of shoe boot, and a black biker style/structured jacket or coat. Def wouldn't go for the big pink jumper but a bit of volume on the upper half is a good call.
    I wouldn't wear them personally as I'm conservative (boring!) but I'd admire anyone who did and pulled off the look!

    I like some of them and don't like others. I'm not mad about those in the link. I prefer wider leg version and I think they can work well.

    I think they are awful, unless you are pretty slim. And even then they have to be styled carefully. They are a fashion fad and won’t last long in style. I’d avoid like the plague.
